The Company
The Cosmetic and Laser Centre was established in 1999 as one of the first and leading Laser Hair Removal centres in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Since opening, the services offered have expanded to include Esthetics, a full service Hair Salon, Registered Massage Therapy, Thermography, and Nutritionist specializing in allergies.
Our mission here at the Cosmetic and Laser Centre is to provide advanced, up to date, personalized services to suit each and every one of your needs. We offer a clean, fresh and friendly environment where all of your treatments will be a positive and enjoyable experience.
Who We Are
Marie Peever - Owner
Marie opened the Cosmetic and Laser Center over ten years ago when she felt there was a need in the community for a more relaxed, clean ,and friendly, laser hair removal center.
Since that time, she has grown the business to a full service center including Aesthetics, Hair salon, Registered Massage therapy, Thermography and Holistic nutrition specialists.
Marie is a certified laser technician, but you will find her most days at the front desk doing what she enjoys best, greeting clients and booking appointments.
Pamela Brousseau - Laser Technician
Pamela has been in the Fashion and Beauty Industry since the very young age of 14. Pamela has always had an amazing passion for being around people and seeing that everyone is feeling good and happy about themselves. For the past 10 years Pamela has been a Medically Certified Technician on both Laser and IPL. In this time she owned and operated her own business.
Now Full Time at the Cosmetic and Laser Centre Pamela is proud to see her clients and welcomes new clients. Pamela is very thorough and compassionate about every treatment. Clients have travelled far to see Pamela and in our minds that speaks volumes about her. You won't be disappointed.
Jolanta Kramczynska -RPN (Registered Practical Nurse), Laser Technician
Jolanta joined the Cosmetic and Laser Center team as a skilled and knowledgeable medical laser technician. She is trained and certified in Laser Hair Removal. Jolanta has been a nurse (RPN) for 5 years, and her passion lies firmly in the medical aesthetic and cosmetic industry.
She pays great attention to detail as well as individual clients' wants and needs. Jolanta believes that empowering our clients with important and relevant knowledge is critical to their contentment.
Jacqueline Aube -RMT (Registered Massage Therapist)
Jacqueline was raised in Kitchener, before moving to Toronto to attend Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. She graduated in 2004, and continued to work in Toronto before joining the Cosmetic and Laser Centre in May of 2007.
Jacqueline specializes in pre and post natal massage, and has also worked with many athletes, amateur and professional, and specifying in sports related injuries and maintenance. Jacqueline has also taken post graduate courses in TMJ (temperomandibular) joint dysfunction, and deep tissue massage.
Massage Therapy involves the assessment and treatment of soft tissues and joints of the body, for the purpose of restoring, or maintaining an optimal level of health and well-being.
Carolyn Snider - Esthetician
Carolyn Snider received her extensive training in London, Ontario and has worked in Kitchener throughout her career. She has been an experienced esthetician since 1988 and was delighted when the opportunity arose to open her own esthetics Salon within the Cosmetic and Laser Centre.
Carolyn is known for her professionalism, extreme cleanliness and gratifying service. Relax and enjoy being pampered in a private, professional setting. It is all about helping you feel good about you. Carolyn works with you, one on one, offering a full line of esthetic services featuring Yon-ka facials.
Jody Parks - Hair Stylist
Jody has been a professional Hair Stylist and Beautician for over 30 years. For the past 25 years, Jody has been self-employed owner of her own salon. She enjoys the freedom of following her own business acumen and servicing her many clients in her own private setting. Always seeking out the latest trends, stylish looks and new techniques, Jody is ably skilled in all facets of her profession.
Complementing the service side of her business. Jody's salon stocks a wide variety of hair products and tools for in-salon or home use at very competitive prices. Jody prides herself in creating a personal service salon with a very relaxing and unrushed environment. Mary Kubisewsky - Thermography Technician
Mary is a Breast Cancer Survivor and Clinic Director of Thermography Clinic Kitchener Inc. She is a Certified Thermography Technician through the International Academy of Clinical Thermography and completed her training at the Toronto Thermography Inc. office with Dr. Alexander Mostovoy. Mary has made it her mission to bring this exciting technology to all women.
“What is really exciting to me is that we can change the course breast cancer by providing such an early warning (up to 10 years!) As women, we now have a “second line of defence” with breast thermography. I encourage women to take control of their own health, and stop the “wait for the lump” approach.”
Violet Gerakopulos - VelaSmooth
Violet has been in the healthcare and wellness field for over twenty years.
Her interest in this area has led her to the Naturally Smooth SPA where she operates and manages the Velasmooth
system. By being in both the health and beauty fields Violet understands
that not only is it important to feel good but also look great.
Her individualized treatment approach for cellulite removal and genuine concern for each person ensures that you will receive the best treatment possible.
